| Personal Lines CSA Judy Pearson with her 2006 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Custom. |
Judy Pearson’s love for motorcycles began at a young age. “Growing up I always rode on the back with my brothers and dad, then think had a mid-life crisis and told my husband I’m getting a motorcycle.” She got her first bike three years ago.
Judy enjoys the unique freedom on an open road, “Riding through the mountains, the smell of the trees and sun in your face, there is nothing quite like it.”
Motorcycle Safety for Everyone
Although riding a motorcycle provides an outlet to get away from everyday life, Judy thinks people do not realize the necessity of motorcycle insurance and the importance of a motorcycle safety course.
Important coverage for you and your motorcycle:
- Liability coverage to help insure against expenses related to injuries or property damage in an accident.
- Medical coverage to insure you and any passenger against medical expenses that are the result of an accident.
- Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage to pay for expenses related to injury or death caused by an uninsured, underinsured, or hit-and-run driver.
- Collision coverage to help pay for repair to your cycle if damaged due to an accident.
- Comprehensive coverage to insure you for repair or replacement if your cycle is stolen, vandalized, or damaged other than in a collision.
- Accessories to insure you against loss or damage to accessories to your bike; ie: helmets, safety gear.
- Discounts are available from most companies if you take a motorcycle safety course (www.pamsp.com); also, anti-theft device discounts are available.
Judy is looking forward to a motorcycle trip with her husband, brother, and sister-in-law to Florida in March, “We have a lot of fun going on rallies; it gets you away from the everyday hubbub.”
