We Welcome Douglas M. Dougherty, CSA

FIFS is proud to introduce Douglas M. Dougherty, Certified Senior Advisor, to the FIFS family. Doug brings with him more than 12 years experience in the insurance and financial services industries, and a desire to convey that knowledge and expertise to FIFS clients. “I hope to provide peace of mind for my clients,” says Doug, who will be serving FIFS clients as a Financial Advisor and providing Retirement Needs Analysis. One of the reasons Doug joined FIFS was our affiliation with Mennonite Mutual Aid (MMA). “They share my life values and the focus on being good stewards for God.” Combined, the mission of MMA and Doug’s skill and interest in insurance and financial services make a perfect match for FIFS.

The Path to FIFS
“I’ve always been in some type of situation involving money,” Doug recalls. He was a treasurer in college and a treasurer in a homeowner’s association, so when a gentleman at his church introduced him to the industry it was an easy step. Now, more than 12 years later, Doug still enjoys the work. “I like the challenge of it,” he says. “I like getting out of my comfort zone and directing people to take those types of steps themselves.”

Life Outside FIFS
When not providing financial coaching, Doug coaches teams within his children’s various sports leagues. He is also active in his church—leading children’s programs, Monday night basketball devotions, and serving as a church deacon. Doug lives in Perkiomenville with his wife, Diana, and his three children; Tim, 12; Ted, 10; and Amy, 7.
