When you need health insurance for you or your family, where do you go? Most people look to their employers for this critical benefit. At FIFS, we write group health programs for small- and medium-sized employers, as well as the self-employed. The important component of our work is helping employers make decisions on their benefit plans that enable them to maintain and attract the employees they need.
Sorting Through the Options
The options available through FIFS are many – HMO, POS, PPO, Indemnity, HSA, Cafeteria Plans, and more. The health companies we represent include Independence Blue Cross, Keystone Health Plan, Aetna, ShareNet, Health America, United Healthcare, and Capital Blue Cross. We also have a full array of companies that provide group life and AD&D, dental, short- and long-term disability, as well as supplemental voluntary plans. The carriers include MetLife, Mutual of Omaha, Lincoln Financial, Hartford, The Standard, Colonial, and others.
Our goal is to work with employers to help them create appropriate benefit structures for their specific needs. Most are concerned about the continuing upward spiral of health insurance costs due to medical costs rising at a rate three to four times the Consumer Price Index inflation rates.
Our creative efforts are applied to crafting plans that are manageable for both employers and employees. In some cases our role is to be a resource for product education, benefits structures, and trends, and in other situations FIFS may provide administrative services for our clients. In addition to the various plans available, we also provide COBRA administrative services, Section 125 programs, and resources like HealthAdvocate and other individual and Human Resources programs. Call FIFS at 267-384-5300 to discuss your many health care options.
